The set comes complete with a 53" x 53" square playing mat that is very durable, 12 red and 12 black pieces that are approximately 5" round x 1" high making them a perfect size for smaller hands to grasp.

Great for the cottage resort. I purchased both the giant standard checkers and chess. They are just the right size to have both of them on the main deck over the water. They are getting a lot of use.

I purchased this item per the recommendation of the VP at our elementary school. I googled the item and found a similar product at Amazon and other retailers, however the picture on this website made the product look so much better than it was elsewhere. I was expecting an item that you see at hotels for sturdy outdoor play. The checkerboard is made of a vinyl/plastic similar to a Twister Board. This item will nto work for outdoor play and is extremely overpriced. I’d skip this item and putchase through Amazon at 75% less. The checkers are very cheaply made and If not for the expense of shipping/returning to Canada I would have returned the item. I give this item one-two weeks in our school playground! Definitely do not buy!
